Getting the size right matters more with safety shoes than ordinary footwear: a rigid toe cap means a poor fit is uncomfortable all shift and can rub. Use this chart to convert between UK, EU, US and India sizing, then measure properly before you order a team's worth.

How to measure your foot
- Place a sheet of paper against a wall and stand on it, heel to the wall.
- Mark the tip of your longest toe.
- Measure heel-to-mark in centimetres.
- Match the cm value to the chart. If you're between sizes, go up half a size — the toe cap doesn't flex.
Measure late in the day (feet swell) and wear the socks you'll work in.
Getting the fit right
A correct safety-shoe fit is snug at the heel with about a thumb's width (≈1 cm) at the toe. Too tight and the toe cap presses; too loose and your foot slides forward onto the cap. Lace to hold the heel back into the shoe.
